Pastor Dwight Strickland's Bio

"One of my favorite passages, to which I often return, is Proverbs 3: 5-7. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths."

God has gifted me with a wonderful family that consists of my wife, Cindy, and our three children. Our son, Ben, and his wife, Rachael, live in Elkhart, Indiana, along with their daughter, Leona. Alissa, and her husband, Dan, live in Norton, Ohio, where he is working at his own handyman business. Our youngest, Ethan, is a graduating senior at Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania.

Following our years of education and training at Cedarville College and Grace Theological Seminary, we have enjoyed 28+ years of pastoring and ministering to God’s people in two different churches. Developing life-long friendships is a joy that God has provided us through the ministry of His Word, in sharing our faith in Jesus Christ, discipling, counseling, and fellowship.

One of my favorite passages, to which I often return, is Proverbs 3: 5-7. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and depart from evil.”

Family is very important to us, whether it be our extended families or our church family. We spend a lot of time with both. I am a sports enthusiast. I enjoy being a fan of most sports, while participating in racquetball, golf, softball, Frisbee golf, and table games. Cindy enjoys hiking, reading, sewing, and helping people. We both enjoy quiet evenings at home.

Together, our desire is to see Jesus Christ magnified, His church spiritually matured, and all people come to know Him as their personal Savior.
